Montreal-born Pamela Brennan (herein referred to as “I”)
has been performing since…
well...
... since the first time I made somebody laugh and
they rewarded me with candy.

Excruciatingly shy as a child, I found the self-confidence I needed through performance; first banging away on a piano, then jumping around in a tutu, and
finally settling in behind the microphone, the most comfortable place so far.

I have always been struck by singers who had the ability to reach deep inside and make me feel like they were speaking directly to me. Singers like Ella Fitzgerald, Marvin Gaye, Joni Mitchell, Patsy Cline and Shelby Lynne.
Singers with soul and purpose.

I have learned a great deal from my experience over the last six years as part of successful independent Ottawa-based pop/rock band Hennessey. Now I feel like
I'd like to explore a new creative direction, one that will allow me to speak to an audience on a more intimate level. I'm attracted to personal, immediate lyrics and arrangements that evoke a melancholy, bittersweet feeling.
